Disability provisions

NSW School of Languages aims to ensure our students participate in all areas of learning, including informal and formal assessment tasks.

Although it is expected that both the mainstream school enrolling the student and the parent/carer will advise NSW School of Languages of any student with special needs, we also have in place our own processes to identify and meet the needs of every student in our school.

Parents and carers are encouraged to consult closely with their child's home school and with the NSW School of Languages teacher if there are any changes to their child's learning needs or physical or mental well-being, during their child's language learning.

We have a Learning Support Team with a Learning and Support Teacher who provides guidance and support to our teachers for any of our students who have additional learning and support needs.

Where applicable, NSW School of Languages will provide disability provisions for these students in our internal assessment tasks.
