2025 Enrolment Applications are now available!

Thank you for your interest in learning a language at the NSW School of Languages. Please read the information below, along with the Enrolment eligibilty section on the left side menu before completing your enrolment application form(s).

Languages offered

NSW School of Languages offers enrolment in the following languages:
  • Chinese
  • French
  • German
  • Indonesian
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Latin
  • Modern Greek
  • Portuguese
  • Russian
  • Spanish

NSW School of Languages caters for students in Years 9 to 12 who attend a NSW or ACT Government or non-Government school which does not offer one of the above languages.

EAL/D is also offered for rural and regional government students only.

 

How to apply

All applications for enrolment at NSW School of Languages must be made through the student's own school Principal and must meet certain enrolment criteria established by the Department of Education. These criteria are published in the current Distance Education Enrolment Procedures (PDF 347 KB)

Some of these criteria are also detailed in our Enrolment Information Handbook (PDF 500 KB).

Students, or parents of students wishing to enrol, should approach their school Principal or the NSW School of Languages supervisor at their school.

Enrolment application forms are available from the principal of your school. They can also be downloaded from the Enrolment application forms page of our website.

 

Application closing date

Applications should be submitted by 8 November 2024.

This is to make sure students can begin course work at the commencement of the 2025 school year.

 

Applicants with allergies

Additional medical information is required for applicants with allergies.
